It's Been 4 Years! Happy Nappiversary

Man, time flew by so freakin' fast! And look, my hair has flourished so much.

Four short years ago, I did the big chop. I remember being so tired of trying to maintain two textures that I just went to my stylist and told her, "Just cut it already!" I'm so glad that I plunged into the journey because honestly I've never looked back. I don't miss the days of sitting in the salon for hours, having scalp burns, or being afraid to sweat or swim because I just got my hair done.

Being natural has been one of the most rewarding experiences. It has helped me to learned more about me, be more in tune with my health and body, and has given me so much confidence (not that I was lacking in it, lol). I embrace every ounce of shrinkage, every coil, and single-strand knot. Since my big chop, I've cut it twice, dyed it several times and straightened it along the way. Even a bad hair day can be solved with a puff or headwrap.

Overall, I love my hair and I can't wait to give it even more love as time goes on.
