New Year, New Hair Goals.

I've seriously been neglecting my hair in the last few months. If it's not a wash-n-go or a twist-out (and even those are rare) then it's not for me. I guess this is because my hair is at a length where it's just too much to have the time do anything. Wash day is literally like a work day--yes, a whole eight hours.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my curls, but I guess I'm just in a rut. My hair has grown so much in the past year. And while I am happy for the length, it's no easy feat to wash and style. I remember when I used to try any and every style under the sun, but now...

So in this new year, I'm re-committing to my hair love this year. How you say? Well, for starters I need to give it some more TLC. So instead of my once weekly wash, I'm going to try this new regimen:
Wash once a week
Co-wash in the middle of the week
Deep condition bi-weekly
Take Hair, Skin and Nails vitamin daily
Drink 64-80 oz of water daily
Eat at least 3-5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily
I know it seems like a lot, but I already do a lot of these items on a consistent basis. I'm hoping to create some healthy hair habits, on the inside and outside. Honey, I want my tresses flourishing like this...

See that picture right there to the left?? Her locks are the epitome of #hairgoals. They are shiny, voluminous, and defined! That is the naturalista trifecta. (Not my picture, by the way.)
For my revised regimen, I'm gonna have to reexamine my product game. Y'all know I got products for days, so this should be easy. The question is, do they contain all-natural ingredients? Most do, I just need a natural shampoo and conditioner that has major slip (suggestions please!). I got way too much hair to be playing detangling games.
The last way I plan to recommit is to try new styles. I've been saying I want to learn how to french/dutch braid, so now's the time. I've gotten better, but it still looks a bit shakey, lol. Might as well learn how to do a blow-out while I'm at it (I love a twist-out on blown out hair!) . Here are just a few of the styles that make me swoon:
Aren't they gorgeous? Well I guess I better get to it. Next week though-- I twisted my hair last night, LOL!
Do you have any hair goals? Let me know what they are!
